Are You Giving Up On Your Dreams Because of Fear?

Share

Are you afraid to take action on your dreams?I’m scared of failing at My Dream.

Have you ever felt that way?

I have a good friend who has a dream. He’s had this dream for years. Every year he says, “It’s time to make it happen!” Then something comes up, time, money, stress… Some rational reason he shouldn’t take action on his dream appears. So he puts his dream to bed for another year.

Has that ever happened to you?

There’s something you want to do, something grand, magnificent, even awe inspiring? Or perhaps it’s something simple. A dream that matters to you alone, that the rest of the world might not notice if it remains undone.

But for some reason you never take action on your dream!

Sure, you might start. But you never finish.

Why is that?

Fear.

Often the idea of a dream is so powerful that we’re afraid of losing it. That can translate into fear of taking action on your dream because of this insidious question, “What if I fail?”

Yeah? So what if you fail?

Who says failure means you must give up your dream? Failing just means you get to learn and try again!

How can I be that insensitive?

What’s more insensitive, to coddle someone who’s paralyzed by fear of failure or to encourage them to take action and learn from their mistakes?

Yeah, to coddle them!

Take a moment and examine your life. Are you letting your dreams slide past like a forest blurring past a car’s window, glimpsing them clearly for a mere second before they vanish behind you?

If you are, then have heart because you can choose to take action on your dreams! Through taking action you’ll grow, you’ll learn, and in time you’ll succeed where others only wish to succeed.

So ask yourself right now, “What small step can I take today to create my dream?”

Now Go Do It!

Tomorrow, ask yourself the same question. And Then Do It!

That’s your prescription for success!

Now Go Do It!

The Top Ten Reasons to Not Buy Your Blueprint, Life by Design!

Share

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about why people buy my book, Your Blueprint, Life by Design. Then I realized there are a few reasons to not buy Your Blueprint, Life by Design. I’m listing them here because I only want you to buy the book if you know what you’re getting and you want to improve your life.

Discover how to use your Subconscious Mind Power and the Law of Attraction to create positive and massive change in your life!

The top ten reasons to not buy Your Blueprint, Life by Design.

  1. I don’t pull any punches.

    1. If you want a kid-glove treatment about why your life is how it is, then don’t buy my book!
  1. You can’t handle the truth.

    1. Like I said above, I don’t pull any punches. I reveal the truth about your subconscious mind and how it controls your life. I also give you methods to change your subconscious programming. But If you aren’t ready to accept the truth, then don’t buy my book!
  1. You don’t believe change is possible.

    1. This might sound strange but there are people out there who don’t believe change is possible. If you’re one of them, then don’t buy my book because it won’t help you.
  1. You aren’t willing to accept advice or guidance from someone who’s made mistakes.

    1. I’ve made mistakes–lots of them. I’ve learned from those mistakes and completely changed my life. Instead of hiding in a closet I’m using my knowledge to help others. If you can’t handle that, then don’t buy my book!
  1. Powerful emotions make you uncomfortable.

    1. In the introduction I deliberately create a powerful–some say dark–mood by revealing the state of mind I used to live in. Then I take you on a journey to my current, joyful state of living. This is to help you understand just how powerful the processes in Your Blueprint, Life by Design are. I attempted suicide in my youth. I talk about it. I used to hate life. I talk about it. I discovered methods to change my thinking, my subconscious programming, and my life. I talk about them. Now I love life. I talk about that too. Life is a process of learning and growing. If you can’t handle that, then don’t buy my book!
  1. You don’t really want to take control of your life.

    1. Face it, some people would rather talk about becoming a different, better person or changing something about their life than actually doing something to change it. If you’re a talker instead of a doer…Then don’t buy my book!
  1. You aren’t willing to accept accountability for you actions and your life.

    1. Unless you’re willing to accept the fact that you are responsible for your thoughts and actions and therefore your life, I can’t help you. If that’s you, then don’t buy my book!
  1. You think the problems in your life are someone else’s fault.

    1. This goes hand in hand with number 7. Blaming others for your problems is a victim mentality. No matter what happened or happens to you, you always have a choice about what you do with it. Until you accept that, it’s difficult to make the healthy choices necessary to change your life. If you aren’t willing to stop blaming others for your problems, then don’t buy my book!
  1. You want someone to make things better.

    1. The only person who can really make things better for you is you. You must take action to create the life you want. If you aren’t willing to open yourself to this possibility, then don’t buy my book!
  1. You have no dreams, no desires, no aspirations for anything greater than your current existence…

    1. Hey, it’s possible. Some people are completely content with how things are. If that’s you then it might be difficult to discover the passion necessary to create anything wonderful with your life. So, if you have no desire to make your life better, then don’t buy my book!

Now, if you read through this list and none of the reasons apply to you. Or if you agreed with some of them but you’re ready to take control of your life, then you’ll enjoy Your Blueprint, Life by Design! And you should buy my book! I welcome you to the challenge of learning to reprogram your subconscious mind and discovering how to unlock your best self!

Do You Ever Wonder What Could Have Been?

Share

An excerpt from “The Pi of Life”

The Pi of Life; the perfect companion to your personal development program!

Could’a Been

There’s a place called Tomorrow in the town of Could’a Been. The citizens of Could’a Been talk about Tomorrow all the time. Tomorrow is a magical place where all things happen perfectly. All Could’a Beenians know the only time to do anything worth doing is Tomorrow. Sadly, none of them have ever seen Tomorrow. Each morning they wake up, open their eyes, and realize with disappointment…it’s Today.

Even so, the Could’a Beenians hang all their hopes and dreams on Tomorrow. They know in their hearts; Tomorrow will happen. And when it does, they’re ready to take action.

But until then they keep waiting to do important things, because there’s no use doing something Today when Tomorrow’s right around the corner.

The Could’a Beenians have neighbors in nearby Action Town. They envy the Actionians because things always seem to work out for them. The Could’a Beenians think the Actionians have a mystical secret, a powerful trick that guarantees their success. And worse, a secret the Actionians aren’t willing to share!

But the truth is the Actionians have no secret. They just believe in Today.

For the Actionians there is no better time to do important things than Today. The Actionians understand that Tomorrow isn’t a magical place. Tomorrow is a dream killer, because people who wait until Tomorrow never do anything important Today.

The Actionians have tried and tried to share this knowledge with the Could’a Beenians. But the Could’a Beenians just smile, nod politely, and feel sad for the Actionians because they don’t understand the magic of Tomorrow.

End

Do You Ever Jump to Conclusions?

Share

What's the harm in jumping to conclusions?

Jumping to conclusions

I came home the other day to a huge pile of clothes in the middle of the living room. My first thought was, “What a Mess!”

That was quickly followed by, “I wish the kids would pick up after themselves.”

Then my 4 year old daughter came running into the room and said, “Do you want to see what’s under the pile, Daddy?”

Now I could have told her that we needed to do better at keeping the house clean or that there was no excuse for making a mess in the middle of the living room. But I didn’t. Instead I calmed my inner neat freak and said, “Sure! Please show me!”

She started happily ripping the pile apart; throwing clothes this way and that. The mess wasn’t just in the center of the room now. It covered the whole floor!

Still, I kept my mouth shut and waited while she dismantled the pile.

Then she stood back. With a huge smile and a flourish pointed to a children’s game, Break the Ice, that she’d revealed.

“That’s great, honey!” I said and then gave her a hug.

My daughter skipped away singing. Then my wife came up and whispered to me, “Thank you. She worked very hard to hide the game and was proud of it.”

As you know, this could have gone quite differently. I could have immediately disciplined my daughter for making a mess. I could have cleaned it up without taking the time to understand what the mess was. But that would have been crushing my daughter’s creativity. And what message would that give her about the reward that comes from working so hard if her efforts are rewarded with scolding or indifference?

You know what, she helped clean it up later and had fun doing it because she’d been able to share her project with me first.

How many times do we jump to conclusions about things and inadvertently hurt others?

I’ve done it. I’m sure you have too. But I’m learning. Often, it’s best to stop a moment and figure out what’s really going on before making a decision. When you do that you’re making a rational decision based on facts instead of an emotional decision based on circumstances. Rational decisions based on facts allow you to shape your life and treat others with kindness.

If you already do this that’s Great! If you’re still learning, like me, I challenge you to take a breath and figure out what’s really going on—or what really happened—before you make decisions.
